BRITISH VOGUE - OCTOBER 2023
The stars of Martin Scorsese's upcoming 'Killers of the Flower Moon' grace the cover of the October issue of British Vogue. Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone sat down with Afua Hirsch to discuss the historical epic about the Reign of Terror and the attacks against Osage Native Americans in the 1920s. The issue highlights work by Native designers, Gladstone working closely with editor-in-chief Edward Enninful on the shoot's styling. The often enigmatic DiCaprio speaks of his co-star: “Lily is absolutely astonishing in this movie... she carries the entire film and the story.” Also in this issue are the eight finalists of Vogue's inaugural global model search and a look back on the decades-spanning working relationship between supermodel Linda Evangelista and photographer Steven Meisel.
BRITISH VOGUE - SEPTEMBER 2023
It is Supermodel September, with the legendary faces of Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell gracing the cover in tribute to their appearance on the front of January 1990's British Vogue. A cover that kicked off the decade, and heralded a new age of fashion to come, with models who were not just canvases, but stars in their own right. 34 years later, these women who remain at the pinnacle of style and beauty reunite to discuss their illustrious careers in advance of Apple TV+’s The Super Models. Also appearing in the issue are Zadie Smith, Alighieri designer Rosh Mahtani and Harry Styles in conversation with David Hockney about his soon-to-be-unveiled portrait at the National Portrait Gallery.
ASHAALIA IN BRITISH VOGUE
Maya Jama is the It Girl of the moment. Photographed by the legendary Steven Meisel in New York, she reflects on her ascent from charmingly relatable girl about town, presenter and social media figure, to representing the institution that is Love Island. As she prepares to go global, she looks back on her years in the spotlight - the loves, the losses, the parties - tracing the qualities that enable her to embody Britain as it is. As editor-in-chief Edward Enniniful notes, 'her mixed heritage, her humour, her kindness and her ability to connect with women and men or indeed anyone who comes into her orbit is a joy to behold.' As August's issue relishes in the heat of the summer, it looks ahead to the fast-approaching Autumn season, giddy for the trends to come.
