Conceived in premium Japanese triacetate polyester and fully lined in breathable silk, the Rehana Crop Jacket receives approximately 12 hours of Karigari hand-beading at the collar and cuffs. Glass stones are applied by the artisan's hand in ASHAALIA's Bay of Bengal atelier. Panels are beaded flat before attachment to maintain clean tension at every edge.
Each jacket is finished with embellished buttons at the cuffs - a detail that extends the beading language to every edge of the garment. An internal left breast pocket is worked into the lining, cut to sit flat without disturbing the surface work.
Rehana - sweet-scented herb in Arabic - names the line characterised by restraint: glass stone accent at the border rather than the full surface. In South Asian textile tradition, bordered embellishment has its own history distinct from full-surface work - the border as frame, the cut as ground. The Rehana Crop Jacket draws from that tradition: beading as punctuation, not as text.
The crop length sits at the high hip - worn over the Sitara Wide-Leg Trouser or the Sitara Midi Skirt, or over a slip dress. The Japanese triacetate holds its structure across seasons; the silk lining keeps it comfortable in warm conditions.
