Sitara – ستارہ – is the Urdu word for star. In South Asian textile history, sitara motifs refer to small metallic and mirror-set star elements that were worked into court dress and ceremonial garments across the Mughal period. 

Each placement was deliberate: a constellation mapped across silk, charting the body the way the night sky charts the earth. The Sitara line continues that language. Crystals, rhinestones and metallic thread are applied by hand, panel by panel, in ASHAALIA's specialist Karigari atelier, each piece requiring approximately 25 hours of work before it leaves the frame.
