Conceived in mid-weight crepe polyester and lined in silk satin, the Nargis Mini Dress receives 18-22 hours of Karigari hand-beading across the full surface. The Nargis motif is formed from three independent strands of glass stones moving across each panel - not appliquéd but hand-guided strand by strand, so the surface has movement even at rest.
In the Amethyst colourway, sequins are worked between the strands; the Moonstone White carries glass stones alone. The silk satin lining provides structural support to carry the accumulated surface density.
The closure is a concealed zip finished with hand-beaded tassels - a considered detail that extends the Nargis language to the back of the dress. At the front hem, a discreet opening traces the ASHAALIA logo in the cut of the fabric.
In classical Persian and Urdu poetry, the nargis - narcissus - is the beloved's eye: open, searching, endlessly present. The flower became a Mughal textile motif for its capacity to be rendered in thread and bead with botanical accuracy. In the Nargis Mini Dress, each petal moves with the body - three strands of beading in constant motion across a surface that is never static.
