Conceived in silk linen and self-lined, the ASHAALIA Bell Sleeve Dress receives approximately 18–22 hours of Karigari hand-embellishment across the neckline and shoulders. The silk-linen construction offers a refined matte lustre with natural breathability.
The embellishment is composed exclusively of glass stones in a range of sizes, individually applied by artisans in ASHAALIA's Bay of Bengal atelier to create a luminous, dimensional surface that catches the light with subtle movement.
The bell sleeve has a long history in South Asian dress, from the flared sleeves of the anarkali silhouette to the layered arms depicted in Mughal miniature paintings. The jewelled neckline recalls the presence of the rani haar, the ceremonial necklace traditionally worn by Indian royalty, translating its architectural elegance into the language of contemporary eveningwear.
