Conceived in 100% Japanese triacetate polyester and lined in viscose, the Sitara Beaded Fringe Dress receives 18-22 hours of Karigari hand-beading. Hand strung gun metal crystal tube beads form the fringe structures at the hem and cuff, each fringe strand beaded individually by the artisan's hand in ASHAALIA's Bay of Bengal atelier. The hem and cuff fringe panels are attached after the main garment assembly to ensure clean fall and even weight distribution along every edge.
The Sitara - star in Urdu - was mapped onto court garments as points of light in a deliberate constellation. The Fringe Dress extends that logic into movement: each beaded fringe strand is a Sitara in motion, catching light as the body moves through it. The fringe itself references the layered hem work of South Asian ceremonial dress, re-read through a contemporary silhouette.
A dress that announces itself in movement. The fringe activates with every step; the Japanese triacetate drapes without stiffness and resists wrinkling in transit.
