Executed in 100% bias-cut silk and lined in silk, the Sitara Reversible Slip Dress requires 18-22 hours of Karigari hand-beading in ASHAALIA's Bay of Bengal atelier. Glass stones, faux pearls and seed beads are applied panel by panel across the full surface with uniform tension.
The reversible construction means both faces are finished to the same standard - beaded side and plain silk side each carry a clean seam and identical lining support.
Designed to be worn with beading facing front or back.
In Urdu, sitara means star. South Asian bridal dress has long used sitara placement as a mapping system - stones and mirror-set stars distributed across silk to catch candlelight and move with the body.
