The Sitara Fitted Jacket is executed in Karigari, a discipline encompassing Aari and Zardozi technique, hand-beaded panel by panel in ASHAALIA's specialist atelier in the Bay of Bengal. Glass stones, faux pearls and seed beads are applied individually across the shoulder and neckline.
The jacket is fully lined in breathable silk and is finished matching self-covered embellished buttons at the cuffs. An internal left breast pocket is worked into the lining, cut to sit flat without disturbing the surface work.
Sitara means star in Urdu. In Mughal court dress, Sitara elements, small mirrored and metallic stars, were worked into garments as markers of celestial significance. The Sitara Fitted Jacket draws from that tradition directly: each stone placement maps the surface as a constellation does the sky, ancient logic expressed through a contemporary silhouette.
The Sitara Fitted Jacket holds a silhouette whether worn over a column dress or with wide-leg tailoring. The crepe-and-silk construction sits close without restriction across every season.
The model is wearing a size 8 AU (40IT, 08UK, 04US, 36FR).
